Donald Lines is the Chairman of the LOM Group of Companies and President of Millpoint Limited. Prior to forming Millpoint Limited, Mr. Lines was President and Chief Executive Officer of The Bank of Bermuda Limited (founded in 1889 and purchased by HSBC in 2004), where he retired in 1994 after 25 years of service.
He is a member of the Order of the British Empire, an honor granted to him for his service to Bermuda by HRH Queen Elizabeth II. He has been a director of companies and investment funds listed on the London, Dublin, Luxembourg, and Bermuda stock exchanges.
He is a chartered accountant, a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bermuda. He has held public offices, including chairman of the committee that negotiated Bermuda’s Tax Treaty with the United States in 1985 and member of Bermuda’s Monetary Advisory Sub-Committee.
