LOM Securities (Bahamas) Ltd. on Hurricane Ike Watch
Nassau, Bahamas – September 5th, 2008 - The Government of The Bahamas has issued a Hurricane Watch for the Southeastern Bahamas; this area currently does not include the city of Nassau on the Island of New Providence, where our offices are located. Hurricane Ike remains a dangerous storm and potential intensification may affect our operations on Monday.
In the event that the storm worsens, LOM employees would be evacuated to one of our sister offices in Bermuda, Grand Cayman or London. LOM Securities (Bahamas) Limited, General Manager Craig Lines said “We will continue to monitor the storm over the next 24 to 36 hours before deciding to close our Bay Street Office. Any decision will be made in an effort to ensure our employees and their families are safe throughout the hurricane.” Investment advisors in both Bermuda and The Cayman Islands remain available to handle client inquiries.
