How to Open an Account
At LOM, our clients trust is of utmost importance hence we aim make this process as efficient as possible. Once we receive your completed account documents our compliance department aims for a 48 hour turnaround time. Your account will be then assigned to an advisor team that will work with you to meet all of your goals.

We offer our clients two types of standard brokerage accounts: "cash accounts" and "margin accounts". The minimum account size is $25,000 for standard brokerage accounts and $5,000 for accounts that invest solely in LOM Funds.
Account Opening Information
Before opening an account, we require the following documents to be completed, as appropriate:
- LOM Investment Account Agreement (will be provided by LOM once initial contact has been made).
- For each signatory and Beneficial Owner: a notarized passport, bank reference and proof of residential address.
Corporate Accounts must also provide the following:
- Original Certified Copy of Certificate of Incorporation
- Sealed Corporate Resolution
- Certificate of Incumbency listing officers and directors
- Trust Accounts must also provide Trust Documentation & Form W-8 BEN
- Institutional accounts should provide evidence of regulated status
Policy on US customers
- Since LOM's acceptance as a Qualified Intermediary, effective January 2001, it has been LOM's policy to not accept accounts for U.S. residents.
- We do not accept: individual/joint accounts for U.S. residents, accounts for U.S. corporations, trust or other legal structures where a U.S. resident has authority over the account, or accounts where a U.S. resident has any control over the account. For these purposes, an individual with a U.S. address is also considered a U.S. resident.
