Jason Chlup to Compete in International Touch Rugby Tournament

Jason Chlup will be showcasing his athletic talents on the international stage as he has been selected to participate in the Touch World Cup, taking place from July 15th to 21st.

Held every four years, The Touch World Cup brings together the best touch rugby players from around the globe. The 2024 edition hosted in Nottingham, United Kingdom, will by far and away be the biggest ever, with 190 teams representing 40-plus nations from every continent.

Jason’s journey to the Touch World Cup is a testament to his dedication and passion for the sport. Balancing a demanding career as an investment advisor with rigorous training sessions, Jason has demonstrated exceptional commitment and discipline. His participation in this tournament is not just a personal achievement but should also a source of pride for our local sporting community.

Jason is an avid rugby player and coach. During his 20 year rugby career, he has represented South Africa on an international level in a number of touch rugby tournaments across the world. For the love of the game and his community, he volunteered his time by coaching provincial teams for over a decade. In Bermuda, he plays for the Police rugby team.
